- Okay, here's the story: my friend recently bought an A500+ motherboard
- from Paxtron (a mail-order company he saw in Video Toaster User) for
- $79.95 with all chips (including 2.04 ROM). Now, he lives in Houston,
- TX (USA). He has an NTSC 1084. What exactly will happen when he
- plugs in the 1084 and turns on the computer? I know that programs like
- Nico's BootPAL, etc., reset ROMtags (whatever that means) so that a Fat
- Agnus-equipped Amiga can display either NTSC or PAL, and his NTSC 1084
- has no problem displaying it.
-
- If this motherboard is indeed usable in the US with his US A500 power
- supply and NTSC 1084, then should a bootNTSC program (or something similar)
- be run every time the computer is booted, and then reboot the machine to run
- in NTSC? He should be receiving the motherboard soon, and any help would
- definitely be appreciated before some major equipment damage can happen.
- Thanks in advance!
